Wheeler/Mcmillan LRB Long Range Benchrest stock

I put it together tonight. 16lbs 13 ounces with a 6 oz tuner and March 10-60x52 in nightforce ultralight rings. I love the feel of it, and weight distribution with the pound of lead in the butt. Wood stocks are on their way to joining the dasher and certain rifle scopes on the obsolete list:D

Bart made the comment over a year ago that the dasher liked to throw shots. Lol I wasn't smart enough to listen,so I built one. Big mistake!

I have pricing.
For a flat top, no butt plate, front rails and rear rudder installed, $600. For a custom ordered full inlet $750
I will be stocking only flat tops at this time as there are too many options. I will order custom inlets if you want to do the work your self.
If you have a current ffl send it to me in an email for dealer pricing.
Alex how much for a flat top WITH butt plate, front rails and rudder installed?

The $600 includes the rails and rudder, just not the butt plate. As of right this second I do not have butt plates. I am making them one at a time. I will be getting them run on cnc soon then I will be able to offer them for sale. Your gunsmith should have no problems making one from 1/4-1/2" plate if need be. I hope to have the plate very soon after the first batch of stocks come in.

I get asked for rear bag specs often. Edgewood has them, just ask them for the wheeler lrb bag. They are special order so don't wait until you need it. Thanks

Alex is your "wheeler lrb" like this one? I use the dead bag bottom, seems to make the set up rock solid. Note rudder in use. Steve

Guys, I just wanted to make sure I was at legal weight with it. I already have notes on this barrel, screwed on another panda, glued in another stock. Yes, it shoots awesome with and without the tunnnner. There's things I like better with, and things I like better without.

The point, the stock is light enough to make weight WITH one, and still achieve a 60/40 weight distribution. From there you can reposition for greater front percentage. My "hot gun" for example has been set up about 65/35, and the new stock can be comfortably set up for that WITH a muzzle thingy lol.

Tom
Which end has the 60?

The bag I spec'd out to edgewood is the new edge bag with the new reinforced bottom, but with the old style cordura ears. Its standard height, short ears, and 3/4" spacing. Aluminum and the slick material do not mix, stay with plain cordura. If you ask them for the wheeler lrb bag they have the specs, I dont make anything off them, it just makes thing easier to order it that way so things dont get mixed up. I think you have to spend about 10k with edgewood to get any dealer pricing so I will not be stocking any.

I made it out to shoot it today. Pictures aren't the greatest but here ya go.

Since this barrel was tuned on a different panda/stock I decided to shoot a few 3 shot groups at different tuner settings around "0" where it HAD been. Well, it didn't change a bit when moving the barrel to this platform. Of course I didn't know that until I tested it though.

And then of course Alex was whining that he wants to see a "group" instead of my "ladders". So after verifying tuner setting "0", I decided to go ahead and send five down.

I was right at home with this stock right away. I can't wait to get it on a bench that don't wiggle all over hell lol.

Tom question pics are deceiving how tall vertically are the rails on the side on front are they.
