Wheeler digital TP gauge

I have one of the Wheeler digital trigger pull gauges that seems to give low readings every time. I can measure a trigger pull at 3 lbs. 10 oz with the gauge but the trigger will pick up a 4 1/2 pound weight. Does anybody know how to correct the pull weight on the gauge?
