What’s your favorite reloading piece

What in your guys reloading bench would you say is your favorite piece of reloading gear? Outside of your press what’s one piece of gear that you would buy first if doing it again?
For me I really like my powder dispenser. Nothing fancy just a charge master light but really enjoy not having to throw main charge and then trickle in the rest

Fern, What is your shooting discipline? Competition, hunting? It's curious that you don't like to drop a partial load and then trickle the rest, but settle for the chargemaster and then trickle the entire load.
Years ago, I bought a Harrels Culver powder measure. I use a scale to set the drop weight, Then just drop the powder. I sample around 5% of the dropped loads. I've never had to reset the powder measure. I haven't trickled since I bought the powder measure.

that’s a good point I mostly punch paper and varmint with occasional game if I get drawn.
Was talking to a local reloader and he mentioned he could not live without his Harrison trimmer.
I was mostly just curious what everyone would say their favorite piece was.

I struggle between picking one of these 3 for different reasons, but I have to choose only one it would be #1.

1.) Primal Rights CPS for the time saved, repeatability, and ergonomic relief on my hands.

2.) Henderson gen3 trimmer for repeatability and speed.

3.) AutoTrickler V4/FX120i combo for speed & accuracy.

I load a lot of cast bullets in rifles so I would have to say my Lee Factory Crimp dies. They barely nudge out my Lyman ram prime die. A buddy of mine brought his RCBS powder charge something for me to use but I’m not a fan.

JWV, what is your discipline & what is your goal for repeatability? Example is give or take 1/2 grain close enough to satisfy your level of OCD? what scale do you use for verifying the Chargemaster? What propellants do you utilize?

That's a funny one.
When my new CM arrived it showed my balance beam was faulty and needed a deep clean and its balance setting up again......was wondering why my almost 1 hole 223 groups had gone off song.

If I want 26.9charge I go for that. If it’s under over I put back in the main tube and have it drop it again. I have another scale I compare it to every so often and they both same are same but it’s no super trickier.

Rather than a single specific tool, having high quality measurement equipment consisting of calipers, mics, dial indicators, being able to accurately and precisely quantify my ammo has been the single best improvement to date. Also knowing how to properly take a measurement is very important.

Totally agree with the scale, I also have the charge master lite, and before that I was using a beam scale. That being said, I love my 21st century hand primer and K&M arbor press.
