Whats the craziest thing you have ever heard some one about a gun?

Back many years ago before I knew about 6mm BR com., I used to go to Snipers Hide and back then it was a pretty good place to go. So one day some guy joins and starts asking questions and it is pretty obvious he has very limited experience with real firearms. I am guessing but it seemed to me like he played a lot of video games. One day he asks if a bolt gun can shoot a 3 shot burst. I am thinking to my self he has never picked one up in his young life.

I watched a video of a rifle match in Sweden and the rapid fire sure appeared to be 10 round burst with a Mod 96 Swede. They were certainly as fast as my rapid fire strings with an M-14 in Boot Camp.

KMART if you used a M14 in boot camp. you must be an old buzzard like me. Had the same problem. Tommy Mc..
 
A guy told me to shoot a22-250 just in front of a deer's nose. "Sucks the wind right out of their lungs". Yea he had dunnit.

I talked to a person that thought how a revolver was shot properly was how they did on the old western movies, w/wrist snap to help give the bullet momentum!! Took that same person out to the timber and thought a cow was a deer. City-Slickers....Yikes!!
 
From way too many guys, who claim that the latest rifle/scope combo that they currently shoot will easily put five shots through the same hole at 100, 200, or even three hundred yards.

The crazy thing is that I restrain myself from saying "Oh BULLSHIT!!" jd
 
Know a police firearms instructor that was giving an inservice class. As he was covering the safety portion of the class he shot a hole in the door. Bosses didn't think it was funny and he was dumped back into a district the same day.

Years ago on a forum, can't recall if it was SH or arfcom, a guy asked something like "Can someone explain to me how these gas operated rifles work? Do you have to use a special kind of gas? Where can you buy it at? How much would it cost?" Apparently he thought 'gas operated rifles' like ARs and M1/M1As worked something like PCP (pre-charged pneumatic) air rifles that you fill from a scuba tank... ;)
