What's the Best Powder for 90 grain Scenar in 243 Win

I'm thinking H4350 should work well---the Berger manual says max of 42.5 grains but Hodgdon on line says max of 44.5---presume the difference is due to choice of bullets.
What suggestions and opinions can members offer?
Varget is another option but the Berger manual says it will be 90 fps slower than H4350

Varget is just a little too fast for this combination. You wind up with a partially filled case.

Take a look at the Hybrid 100V load on the Hodgdon website, that's where I would concentrate. I've had lots of success using the 100V. If that doesn't trip your trigger, run the H-4350 and enjoy!

IMR 4350 is a heck of a powder for the 90g! You will have some serious accuracy with speed! Load will be within 2.0g of what is a max load for that rifle.

Play with various primers.

4831 sc usually with a mag primer

I'll second H4831sc. It has shot very well in my 6AI behind a 90 gr Sierra TGK. It has also shot well in my 6 creedmoor with 90 to 105 gr bullets. It actually shot better than h4350 in my 6 creedmoor.

Reloder 19 surprised me with how well it shot with a 90 grain Berger in my 243.

I'd give it a try if you have any sitting around.

Looks like rain tomorrow so I'll load up some rounds---will use H4831sc as I have a supply on hand. I recall that the Nosler manual says the case with be 100% full which is good.
Thanks everyone.
Bill

I did use H4831SC in my 243 AI and Bergers 105 VLD .Just lately I have switch to 90gr sierra's TGK and RL26 with very good results . About the only problem is RL26 is doesn't stay on the stores shelf long .

I'm running IMR4350 in one of my 243's. It's a hunting rifle and pretty much straight factory.

Here's a 4 shot group at 500 shot on a day with 20 mph winds from 10 o'clock.

Bullet is the 90 gr AB WLR primers and Winchester brass.

H-4831sc is superb for 90 grainers. I even use it with 80 gr Berger FB in one of my 243win's.

Depending on your seating depth, you'll find a sweet node between 45.5 and 47.5 gr of H-4831sc... ( between 46 and 47 gr is more likely but I added half grain on either side for good measure )
