What's going on with Sightron Scopes

I just ordered an SIII 8-32x56 moar from SWFA for $649.95 - best value I found in years!

I've just placed an order for the 10-50 from SWFA for $750. For that price, I think it's worth rolling the dice, especially since I've never even seen one...

I also just ordered a Sightron III from SWFA. Never bought from them before. Had to pay shipping, but even with that added in, was less then OpticsPlanet less my 7% coupon or Midway who also has some, though discounted freight costs.

For Sightron Scopes its hard to beat theopticzone.com. Free shipping and less than SWFA. If you want to play the game, send SWFA the opticzone price and they will beat the price by 10% of the difference. Sightrons are great scopes. I have 5 of them.

True story. An old customer of mines father was a Madison Ave. ad executive back in the 50' and 60's. His agency had the Chanel #5 account. Story goes that when Chanel #5 came out, it wouldn't sell worth a dam. So the big wig ad execs sit around the big conference table and try to figure what was wrong with the advertising and why the perfume wasn't selling. One of they guys said, lets double the price. Double the price!! Are you crazy!! Well they doubled the price and they couldn't keep the perfume on the shelf.

So, just because something is expensive, doesn't always means its the best. I have Zeiss and Swarovski and fell for the illusion of high price. Yes, the Zeiss and Swarovski scopes are real nice. Are they twice the price better than Sightron? I'm not so sure. There are a lot of guys out there that will swear their $500 CZ 22's will shoot right up there with my $2000.00 Coopers. Any ya know what? They are right. They just aint gettin it done pretty.

Thanks for the hads up on OpticsZone. The SWFA Black Friday deal though seems unbeatable. The SIII I ordered was $200.00 less than the price at OpticsZone so net of the shipping costs, I still saved more than $175.00 off a good price.
