Whats a fair value on parts?

Remington 700 long action, .473 bolt face, complete with trigger and complete box, spring follower and trigger guard assembly, cerokoted a dark gray. McMillan varmint stock, gray and black molded in colors, also bedded in VGC condition. Not NIB but great shape. I'm trying to decide if I want to part the rifle out or sell as a complete rifle. Thanks

Well I guess if I price them high and they don't sell I can always come down. Price them to low and they sell really quick, you know you were to cheap.

Actually doesn't matter now as the rifle was sold at the Wanamacher this week end. But if an used B&C or used H-S is worth $200-250, a used in good condition Micky, even bedded to a Remington action should be worth more than $200. I been playing this game a long time and can't say I ever saw a used McMillan stock in good shape sell for $200, bedded or not. Like I said, it was sold this week-end anyway. Thanks guys!

So,................How much did it sell for. Looks like the advisors had it priced at 550.00. That would have been a heck of a deal.

Part it, you never get a decent price assembled, bedding comes out.

Care to share the break down ? It may help folks in the future, hard pricing things on the web ,especially without detailed pics . Totally understood if you want to keep it to yourself.

It's not a secret but you sell barrel, action , and stock separately. Only issue come in when someone doesn't have the tools or knowledge to disassemble it. I offered a nice rifle to a few guys at camp and I could tell by the reactions that they thought I was trying to gouge them. I offered it at my cost to build it. I parted it and sold all the parts easily for $400 over what I offered it to them. When I was asked if I still had it the following week I told them I sold the barrel. What are you doing with an action, no one will want it. My response was selling it for what I offered you the rifle for. It took a whole hour to sell it.
