What would you use to maximize .223 accuracy at 100 yds?

I also have a 222, in a '70s Sako Vixen. The "Deuce" likes H4198 but it's not in the least finicky. H322 has won many matches in 222, but I have switched to CFE 223 for its top velocity and clean habits in both 222 and 223.

223 will do EXCELLENT
YOU NEED A EXCELLENT BBL...1/14 twist
a chamber cut for 50-55 gr bullets
excellent brass full prep sorted
decent powder several out there today
excellent bullets not bulk 55's( Hornady's 50vmax in green has shot .204 in one of my 223's)
a solid stock that matches a front and rear rest
top end high quality scope...even for 100 yards.
been there done that have the reamer .

ohhh and I own a 222....
a built benchrest gun in 222 is not likely to out run a built br rifle in 223.
keep comparing apples to apples...do not mix chit up.

My Daddy shot a 222 Rem. in matches starting in 1952. He soon started winning and gained a good reputation. He started me on the 222 when I was six. Had to rest the butt beside my shoulder, but I learned to shoot after a good while. Shot one all my life along with several others including the 22br, and the 223. Of all the 22’s I’ve used, seems like the 22br is the only one can beat it. Oh well, please excuse the ramblings of an old fool. It still makes me smile when I hear how well the 223 shoots.;).
