what twist for a varmint BR?

Looking into building a 6mmbr for some varminting, I had originally thought of building a 6X284 and run it on light bullets but think it may be a bit of a barrel burner and I want soemthing like the 6mmbr where I will hopefully hit a good load really quick. My question is for running it on anything from the 58g v-max to the 80g berger what twist would you have, I know a 1-9 will work well with all bullets but I dont plan on shooting 100g or over bullets and would worry that a 1-9 might be a bit too fast for a 58g vmax. Might just build it as a light walking type rifle on a trued up remi action.

I would definitely build a 12 twist for use with bullets up to 80 grains. On my 12 twist Savage I used 87gr Hornady's for foulers and they would shoot good 3 shot groups at 200. I used 80 gr Bergers for matches and experimented with various 67 to 69 gr BR bullets, all with good results. I think Berger has an 87 gr Triple Shok that might work good for deer sized animals.
