What twist for .308 Lapua 185gr HPBT?

Planning for a new barrel. I currently have a 1-10 and wanted to get the same again. I have a few people (Barrel makers & gunsmiths) telling me a 1-11.25 will work fine.

I know people shoot this bullet in long range competition and I really want to load for it, what twist are they running?

my last barrel was a 1 in 12 and it just loved the 185 vld.my new barrel is a 1 in 11 for the 185 and going to try the 210 to see what happens

My 1 in 11 twist shoots 185gr very sweetly in deed, and 210 gr equally as well.

I'm in the same boat. 185's were dead easy to make shoot in 2 different 1-12" barrels.
