I believe that is the original Ron Hoehn tuner, I could be wrong but he designed it and sold the rights to Harrell to make them.So I picked up this tuner from a friend thinking it was a Harrell... Now that I have an actual Harrell I am wondering what it is I do have here. Anyone?

You don't need weights unless you can't adjust out the vertical. I myself remove weight from a tuner haven't used a standard Harrell or weights for a few years now, I find less weight works better. Are these commonly tuned with weights added? I now have weights that fit my later tuners but there is no provision to add them to the one pictured...
I spoke to Ron once a few years back, that is how I remembered his name.that is the name i was trying to think of when i typed "early Harrell's"..
