What trigger should I use this time (Rem 40X)

I'll start by listing what I have used so far:
- Remington Walker triggers I have tuned and re-sprung, fairly happy with these but only go down to around 2 lbs.
- Timney 510, not impressed
- Timney Calvin Elite set for 8 oz, no longer available but a pretty nice trigger
- Rifle Basix, not a bad trigger
- Jewel triggers came on a couple of rifles I bought used. Not bad, 1 set really light
- Geissele Super 700, kind of like this one, currently set for two stage
- Trigger Tech Diamond 700 clone going into a Vudoo as soon as CBI gets the background check run

I'm considering trying a Bix'n Andy. Lots of models to choose from. Don't need the safety, but would prefer the bolt release.

So I'm looking for your suggestions. The 8 oz seems to be a setting that seems to be a good match for me.

For your 8 oz I like my TriggerTech diamond.
Easily adjustable, wide range, no springs and can do it in rifle.
Nice clean break.
Better than the Timney CE, Rifle Basix.
Don't like 2 stage.
Never had a B&A

Google Trigger Tech problems. Bought two, both had problems on closing. Same rifle, Jewell worked perfectly. The Geiseles are a good hunting rifle trigger.

I have a couple of Jewell’s and one bix n andy all set at 12 ounces, and like them all. Saying that the Bix seems extra sweet, but don’t know what the longevity of it will be because it is the newest to me.

I wasn't aware that the Timney Calvin Elite was discontinued. That was a great trigger, and I was planning on using another one n my next build. Damn.

I have a few Bix's and a couple of Flavio Fare's. I now have a few Jewels and the others sit idle. Both of the other makes have given issues at important matches at the worst time (Raton and Phoenix in windy blowing dust conditions and other less dusty locations). Several seasoned veteran F-classers said get a Jewel and don't look back. They were right.

I have used Jewel, CG & Geissele M700 successfully but found the two Geissele triggers held their settings the best. Have them both set as 2 stage, no fear of pulling thru the 2nd stage.
The number of stages 1 or 2 and the various makes all work, it’s really what the individual prefers.

That’s good to know!
How hard were the Bix’s to clean up and get going again?

Easy to disassemble/clean/reassemble but unpredictable when it would malfunction. When they worked they are fantastic but in my rifles (2/3) I could not trust them. Others have similar problems but some I shoot with find them perfect. Might be action dependent.
