What to do with old barrel

Yeah I think it deserves better then scrapping it as I feel barrel has plenty life in it.
Maybe I’ll just stick it in my safe for bow

future use is dependent on length. My first 257 Banshee got cut to 30" and then to 28", got a couple hundred accurate rounds out of each. Friend got it, and sent it to JES rebarreling services. It is a very accurate 38-55 now.

I moved both safes twice. Once into my old house and once into my new house. Funny thing was my wife came home and the safes were in place. I lied and said my cousin helped me but I’m a poor liar. Got my butt chewed for that. Edk
P.S. When you redo floors or walls they also have to be moved. Edk

If it shot well and you changed it for a faster one because you wanted to shoot 40gr, stands to reason at some point you may want to shoot lighter again and if you keep it in good condition it's as simple as spin it on and start using it again. It ain't eatin any hay sitting there.

Of course you could weld a wide cap on the end and weld shut the muzzle, then give it to the circus for a tent stake. Just saying... they might appreciate it for years to come.

I have never reinstalled a barrel after taking it off. Still have the original barrel from my T2k sitting in a corner collecting dust. It is trashed and some day I'll get around to throwing it away. unless I decide to cut it and make derringer barrels from it.
