What to do with old barrel

So this year I re barreled my cz 527 Kevlar in 204 Ruger. I had pax nor 1 twist barrel out on.
I have the original barrel that I put 3-400 rounds through it and not sure how many original owner shot it (old timer that passed away).
I don’t know if it’s worth posting up for sale or if there’s even a market for it.
Any suggestions ?

I have a handful of old barrels I've used for experiments with various cleaning solvents, bore scope monitoring projects, bluing solution treatments and a few other things. I suppose as much as anything it depends on why you rebarreled it. I don't knowingly pass lemons along.

Just my thoughts.

I wanted a faster twist barrel so I could shoot 40 gr. Shot 39s good if you could find them. 32s shot good from what I can remember but was focussed on the 40s

I've had old barrels turned into bloop tubes, into muzzle brakes, and into pry bars.

If it has strong rifling it can be cut back at the chamber and re-chambered giving it a fresh throat. I have set back a lot of barrels like that and they shot like new. Just an option, or give it to someone who wants to play. I have hundreds of barrels in my machine shop from upgrades, rebarrels, etc.. Never know.

If you re-barrel a rifle using the same reamer and you are a hand loader, you may want to use the old barrel when fireforming brass for the new barrel. After you are through using it for fireforming, see the other options above — and below.

All of my pulled barrels are sitting in a big wooden box at my gunsmith's place. I'm not sure what he does with them. Machining brakes is the only thing I can think of.

Depends on how busy your 'Smith is. They might go to the scrap yard. I have no doubt most do.
