What to do with a remington 121 fieldmaster ?

This is pretty simple really, i have a mid 50's fieldmaster with 24" barrel that shoots good but over the years has had a rough life in the looks department. I see that values are all over the board no matter where you go and parting it out may make more money than just selling it. So what should i do with it, Simply selling it will cost $60 here and I don't really have time to part and sell it. Any thoughts on it? Here's some pics and i have more. Thanks

Does it function? Is the bore rusted? Does not look that bad. Does it have sentimental value? Sell it as a project gun and let someone else answer those questions. Nice rifle.

Heck, if it's just taking up valuable space, sell it cheap to someone whose got more space.

Sweet little rifles like that belong in the right home, and a few hundred bucks more or less isn't gonna make a big difference in anyones life. jd

Clean it up and give it to a youngster , something like that could hook a young shooter for life . I have done it in the past, the return is priceless.

That's the perfect rifle to compete in smallbore lever-action silhouette (aka Cowboy silhouette). The main requirements are tubular magazine and iron sights - it's the best silhouette discipline to get started in if you haven't shot before. Lots of fun. Head over to steelchickens.com to find a range near you.

Consignment with a local dealer would be your cheapest way to sell it. No hassle to you and a little money in your pocket (eventually).

A lot of good ideas here guys, yes it's very accurate, (for open sights and old eyes) and shoots pretty good as is. It does from time to time fail to pick up the next round but other than that it is a good shooter, i'm sure one of you guys can tell me what to replace to fix the feed problem. And, ... I feel dumb saying this because it never crossed my mine but our range has a good .22 silhouette course on a hill side across the road from our 300yd range.

So what should i do to make it feed correctly? It would make a good loaner for a kid at the apple seed match.

Cost $60 to sell it?? You can ship it to a dealer for the cost of shipping and you can recoup that in the sales price.

It will cost about $60 to ship from here. I think i'll repair it and let some kid use it at our next apple seed shoot next spring, what i need now is someone who knows the 121 .22 to help me get it to feed correctly since i don't anything about these.
