Just joined up, figured this would be the place to get some advice on a new rifle. I've been craving a small case/caliber cartridge for some time now. I've got a .222, some .223's and larger rifles now. I've been thinking about a .20 Vartarg and mentioned it to hunting partner. About a week ago, he called and offered me a deal. He's got a two CZ's, a .221FB and a .204. He'd sell me the FB complete, and the bbl. for the .204 for somewheres in the $500 range. I doubt either rifles' had more than 100 rds through them. So, I could take the .204 bbl, rechamber it to .20Vartarg and either rebbl the FB or do a switch bbl setup. Not really interested in a switch bbl though. But, don't know either, if its too cost effective to cut back and rechamber the bbl. It would probably make more sense to just sell the bbls and buy something like a Pacnor. But, the more I read here, sounds like everyone likes the .221FB just the way it is. Not many prairie dogs around here any more, so would be using this mainly for plinking, paper, and calling coyotes. So, what sounds good? .221FB or .20Vartarg?? Of course then again, I did just read something about a .20/.222 based cartridge! Hmmmm.......Greg
