What to do with a barrel that copper fouls fast?

Call Krieger. There's something not right with that barrel. It should never have fouled more than lightly. They did something wrong and will make it right.
Anything else you do to eliminate the fouling is destructive to the barrel and if you fire lap it you own it. Krieger will not stand behind a barrel that has had Tubb or anyone else's Fire lapping product used in it. For that matter they may not stand behind it you get overly aggressive with bore paste.

Ask your self the same Question. How would you want it done.
First thing if you have a problem product in touch with who made it.
If the don't want to nothing then bring it here. Larry

This was not a post complaining about Kreiger it was a post asking for recomendations for techniques I could do myself to remedy the issue.

A part of the Krieger warranty: "If the work we did was unsatisfactory, we will replace your barrel or refund your purchase".

It doesn't get much better than that :)

Better read your Krieger warranty.
If it coppers up it is wrong.
Anything you do to remedy it will absolve Krieger of any responsibility.

I don't completely agree with that. Now if you fire lap it with bullets with abrasive on them, I would tell you where to put it. Probably in the garden as a tomato stake. http://forum.accurateshooter.com/Smileys/default/grin.gif

Op, several off the wall ideas:1) vfg pellets impregnated with diamond paste short stroked in throat, if feels rough. 2)Clean to bare metal, seal breech, and fill entire bore with "Plate Plus" from Sprinco. Let soak 72 hrs. Remove. 3)long stroke it with Flitz until feels glassy smooth, flush several times with kroil, till patches clean, run dry patches. Shoot. Maybe it shoots marginally better and coppers up somewhat less. Then what. ? still unacceptable. Back to Krueger is the right answer

This is one reason barrels copper. This is one I worked on before and after cleaning. You can see the machining marks.
