What the Hell!!??

I just recieved my box of 500 lapua 6.5mm 123 scenars and they came in a zip lock bag in a brown cardboard box! Is this normal?
Ive order 500 count boxes of every other bullet and they came in a factory box. what the heck.

Did you get them from Powder Valley?
I received 500 30cal 155gr Scenars from them last week and they came in a generic brown box and they were not in a bag, just loose with a piece of cardboard over them.
They still shoot good though, 1" for 3 shots at 300yds thru my 300 RUM.

I believe that PV are the ones who dump them into the cardboard box. I was told it was to save on shipping.

It might have to do with the amount of bullets that you ordered. I order 1000 ct. Lapua Scenars from Powder Valley and they come in white boxes with Lapua labels showing 1000 pcs. on the front of the box. I could be mistaken, but I don't think that Lapua ships them in amounts of 500. Perhaps Powder Valley has to make up boxes of 500 for you?

I am glad I saw this post. I just ordered 500 Scenars from PVI, and I would have been upset had I not learned this here.
