This is quite impressive work. I don’t have the expertise to do the entire stock but I hope to use the stippling technique. You actually had me fooled with the second photo. It took me some time and close examination to realize it was a copy you made and not the actual Tikka factory stock. Without context I wouldn’t have known, and I own two master sporters.Welcome to the forum!
Yup! It’s stippled, then coated with a rubberized paint. I made a copy of one, a few years ago, for Dusty. I started making my own versions of the Master Sporter stock because I like the design elements. The originals were getting a bit pricey and I thought I could tweak some of the aspects and make it better.
Here’s the pic, with an original, and a few more. In the last pic, you’ll see the bound bunch of finish nails I used to do the stippling. Most any pointy object will do the job.

Yup! Gary, God bless him, sent me the whole setup. I tried it and couldn’t get it to work right. The bundle of finish nails worked well, was easy to control and didn’t take that long. Maybe a couple hours.Josh have you tried a needle scaler to stipple with?
