What size neck bushing for 6.5 creedmoor match die

I just measured the outside of a spent case that was shot from my 6.5 creedmoor. It's outside diameter was 0.294 the case neck wall was a consistent 0.015 thick. The inside diameter is 0.264. So what size neck bushing should I get for my match dies?

If you are not going to outside turn your necks you can add the bullet diameter to both sides of the neck brass
.264" + (.15x2)= .294. Subtract .001" for a single loading rifle to .003" for a magazine fed rifle. If you are going to outside turn the necks, obviously you would make measurements after that is accomplished. May be more accurate to measure a loaded round instead but you get the idea. FWIW, it seems I always end up with three different sizes of neck bushings for every caliber I compete with.

If bullet OD stays exactly .2640” and neck wall thickness is .0150” everywhere, then the neck OD of a loaded round can’t help but be no less than .2940”, or exactly the OD you’ve measured of a fired case neck after however much spring back. If that chamber has a .295” neck ID, if you’re sorting bullets so all are .2640”, and if turning necks so all neck walls are exactly .0150” everywhere, then you’re running with a case neck to chamber wall clearance of .0005” on either side, or .001” total. Maybe that’s enough neck clearance provided everything is being done deliberately and if that chamber is being kept clean, maybe not.
(.0150 x 2) + (.0005 x 2) + .2640 = .295”

I would get .289, .290 and .291 bushings.

This would give you the range you need for a no-neck turn. If you turn necks, ditch the .291 and get a .288, maybe even .287 depending on what you turn them to.

I agree with the above... Your best bet will probably be .289 and .290 bushings.... In my 6.5x47L a fired case measures .292 and I shoot a .288 bushing... I actually need to try the .287 bushing.. Tubb says air on side of more tension meaning instead of .002-.003 go with .003-.004 neck tension...
