What should I expect?

I recently completed a deep cleaning of the chamber and bore in my father’s 6GT... I understand there might be some erratic behavior until it’s “fouled in” again...my question is, do I expect erratic groups or erratic velocities? Or both? Thanks

Assuming your brass has been fireformed the rest is up to your barrel. It shouldn't take more than a few shots before it settles down. After that you can start load work or sight in. Some barrels require more shots to settle in after a good cleaning. I don't look for low ES until I find a load that I truly trust will shoot great.

So if my ES is higher than I want, I need to blame that on my reloading and/or the load, and not the cleaned bore? Is that correct?
Just depends on the barrel. For the most part, after a cleaning it takes 3 shots to get mine back up to speed. That can vary depending on how dirty the barrel was, amount of rounds on it, and how clean you got it.

Once it’s up to speed your groups and ESs will depend on your reloading and tuning.
