what scope for my proof rifle?

i am looking for a new scope for my proof elevation rifle
- need 2.5 or 3 mag on the lower end and 10-15 on the higher end
- would like to have a zero stop
-will use it for hunting out to 500 or so yards and for shooting a bit further than that

i have been looking at the nxs 2.5-10, the shv 3-10 and the trijicon credo 2.5-15x42 (they check all of my boxed but the trijicon has higher mag which I like

let me know if you have any recommendations ! or opinions on the listed optics

Not realy my area - but i had the opportunity to see a Steiner hunting scope recently. Very impressive - and I gather around $1000.

If you can stand a lower bottom magnification and a higher top end than you specified, you might want to look at the March 1.5-15X42. It's an SFP with a brand new design objective lens group that uses a 42mm objective lens at 1.5X. It's a small riflescope that fits nicely on a hunting rifle or an NRA Mid range Tactical competition rifle like my AR-10. It's 10 inches long and 21 ounces. It can be had with tactical turrets or capped turrets, MIL or MOA.

The magnification range is superb for hunting, from 1.5X all the way to 15X. Lots of light in the scope for the early morning and late in the day periods, especially if you keep it at the lower magnification like 5X or 6X.

I shoot my AR-10 with that riflescope on it at the 600 yard mid-range NRA tactical competition. Mine has the MOA MTR-5 reticle with the "tactical" turrets and the zero stop.

I don't have experience with the scopes already mentioned but I have a Leupold VX5 in 3X15 that seems to check off all your boxes. I am very pleased with it.

proof research makes rifles. OP have you considered SWFA 3-15x42? They make a shim kit for their turrets for a zero stop.

OP, if you haven’t already bought, check out the Tract Toric line. I just purchased a 3-15.
Plenty of info on the website and excellent reviews on forums.
