What Savage action is this?

Found a new old stock action at one of my dealers and he made me a great deal on it but I'm not sure what it is. It is stainless Savage but it is hexagon shaped and is sort of skeletonized on the sides with a really neat spiral cut bolt body. He has a matching 270 win barrel with it but will split it up so does that make it a long action? I managed to find one picture of what it looks like.

You got it, he texted me back last night and it is a "lightweight" action. It appears that Savage made them in both long and short action and they are still being made. After he told me what it was I was able to locate another picture...

I’m seeing the spiral fluted bolt and ball cuts on the side of the action can’t really see the octagon
Also what looks like a bottom release’ is this correct?

Yes it was bottom bolt release, he had the bottom metal with trigger guard and mag with it.

It is a Model 11. The one I bought for my grandson came with the walnut stock like the one shown in the review.

Yes, it is the lightweight hunter action 11/111 is black with wood stock and the 16/116 is the stainless synthetic stock. 19oz with trigger and scope rail, no bolt
