What Savage 6mm model 12 or .243 model 10

I would like to get as many opinions as I can before I do the usual thing, and just rush out and buy. I am starting to coyote hunt, and looking at the Savage rifles.
I have a custom 6br bench rifle I shoot just for personal fun, no competition. So naturally I am looking at the Savage 6mm Norma Model 12 Long Range Precession Varmint,Repeater). What are your experiences with this rifle. What about a .243 Model 10 Predator Hunter? Would there be much difference in the groups on paper?

I just picked up a new Predator .204 in snow camo. So far, I have only tried a couple of loads and it seems to shoot small groups. I have a finicky feeding problem though. If I seat my 35 grain Berger bullets out too far it binds from the detachable mag to the chamber. Fits in the mag fine, but the feeding ramp or something needs to be adjusted. I found one post that may be on to something. It stated that the Bergers have a larger ogive and have been known to cause this, so maybe a 39 grain Sierra BK will not bind....????

I'm sure I'll figure that one out soon........but that being said I know I am going to love this gun as my calling rifle.

I have both.a 12FV in .243 and a model 10F in .243.the only real difference i can see is weight.and how fast the barrel gets hot.there both pretty good shooters.especialy with handloads.:thumb:

I have both the LRPV in 6BR Norma and a Predator Hunter in 22-250. The 22-250 is actually for sale if your interested. Its 1.5 years old low round count, gave up hunting for a while) the LRPV has the full 1.00" bull barrel and the 250 has the .78" varmet barrel and weights alot less. The LRPV also has the target action and trigger and a much nicer HS stock. They both shoot great but the 6BR will out shoot the other probably because of the stock, trigger and better barrel and lug. There are many things different about them but for general hunting and as a cary around gun I vote for the Predator Hunter. Past a few hundred yards or in wind the 22-250 will beat out the 204 in that model. I get 1/4MOA easy with both guns at 100yds. My predator Hunter has the internal mag, Mossy Oak paint and a very nice 22" barrel.
