Try the Seekins Rings. Very strong and square to the pic rail with larger screws. You will like them. Warne is very good as well. I use Warne AR mounts.I use warne rings for my hunting tikka rifles. So far as I can tell, they were the only tikka specific rings that came with a lug that mates with the lug recess in the top of the tikka. If others have it, they do not advertise it.
When I build my next tikka it will be for LR prone. In that case I'm going to have a pic rail and then any rings suitable for LR will do.
With a 40mm I would think low should do for you just fine. Call them. They have good customer service.Sounds like Talley. What height for my 40mm Leupold?
They do not that I can remember. Because the screws screw down thru the mount and into the receiver a recoil pin is not required. On mounts like Warne that clamp to the dovetail a recoil pin is needed.Do the Talley direct mount rings have recoil pins?
I ordered the Talley, low rings. They just looked the best to me. As far as leaving ring marks, I can do what I usually do with all but Burris Signature rings and that is a judicious use of electricians' tape, which also improves the grip of the rings, which requires less torque on the screws. They do not that I can remember. When I bought my Tikka in 270W. it had high rings on it, with a recoil pin on the front ring. They were to high for the Burris 5-25 30mm scope I wanted to use, so I ordered a set of low rings from Amazon. These didn't come with the recoil pin. I'm just starting load development for this rifle, but so far the rings are rock solid.Do the Talley direct mount rings have recoil pins?
That is the rail I'm going to be using for my next build.I use a zero moa rail from mountain tactical/ Tikka performance with a recoil lug/pin, coupled with Warne clamshell rings. -0- problems
