What rifling does the cabelas specific remington vtr in 308 have?

I purchased a little while ago now The remington vtr in 308. It differs from most vtr's though. It does have the triangular barrel, however.... It is 24" and doesn't have the muzzle break. I was wondering if anyone knows the rifling that it would have. I ran a cleaning rod with a tight polishing tip on and it seems to come to 1 twist in just shy of 12". I highly doubt that it would have the odd 5r 1 in 11 1/4 twist without it being stamped all over the gun.
My biggest reason is i'm about to start reloading. I'd rather put money into buying bullets and powder etc then buy a few boxes of $40/20 bullets just to see how my gun shoots the heavier bullets. I have tried the fed gold match 168's and although it could be a fault of my own it doesn't shoot them as good as i read it should. Haven't shot heavier only lighter.

Try the federal hi-shok 150 pointed soft points.They shoot like match loads out of my son in law's bun.Yes it is 1 in 12 ansd not 5r rifling. I have had incredible luck with blc-2 and h335 with hornady 168 grain match bullets using the federal gmm brass.I have used LC-Match cases but you have to drop the charge by a couple grains and work up. His vtr has the brake and we adjusted the trigger to a pound safly and that made a big difference.
