No apology necessary. I wasn't confused. I read 185/200s on a thread asking for what primer in a 284 ? Was actually hoping to read about some new 200 grain .284 bullets. When I looked them up, no info on that weight bullet. I guess I was more excited than confused. Won't be long, 200s will be on the horizonPlease re-read S-L-O-W-L-Y .......I was referencing the primer usage in my M-N ( Mosin - Nagant ) Open rifle . As were those referencing 30 / 06 rifles . That's all . Sorry you got confused .

I used CCI BR2 with H4831sc with Berger 180 VLD hunting and 180 Hybrids to win Shooter of the Year in IBS 1000 yard benchrest in 2015. This was my light gun. Yes a 284 will win in benchrest it the shooter does his part. "MISSISSIPPI"
It's coming. Matter of fact I'll say a 200+ will be on the horizon soon. We'll see a .284 bullet with BCs close to .9 one day. May need to neck down the 338 lapua to get the most from it but there will be some impressive heavies coming for the .284 caliber.Wow . A 200gr bullet for a .284 ? That would be one long sucker . Get out the Uni-throat reamer , boys .
Sierra makes .284’s in 197gn. I’m sitting on 2000 of them and don’t have a gun to put them in.
Yes I found them online when I researched heavy 7mm bullets. Just never have used heavier than 180s in my 284s. Figure a 28 Nosler would be about right for getting the most out of anything heavier than the 180s
