In several weeks I'll have a stainless steel barrel coming.
I'm going for a two-tone finish, my chassis is FDE, my Axis has it's factory finish, the stock is mostly black but I'm going to use Moleskin on the comb to match the chassis. The grip will be FDE too.
Rather than have bright stainless, I want to match the barrel to the action. I don't want to spend a ton, have to bake it on, have it come off with common bore cleaning chemicals or give me too much trouble if I want to strip it off eventually.
Is there a rattle can that will do that?
Is there any surface prep I should do before painting stainless?
Thanks.
