What non gun projects have you been doing?

Baling 2nd hay cutting, like 100ac being done. So far behind that we are having to get the first round out of the fields while we are doing the second cutting. Had a lot of rain this year. Went back to raining before we got the first one hauled out after rolling, by the time the ground would hold us up the grass was coming back and we didn't want to rut up the meadows. Just picking it up as we do the last one.... John IMG_20230926_155409471_HDR.jpg

Well what good is a flatbed trailer without a big ole winch...12,000lb should be sufficient...
Picked up a like new 16', 10,000lb trailer for a killer price. (I am too embarrassed to post what I paid it is that damn low...LOL)
5 brand new tires, including the spare!
Winch is mounted. Just need to bolt on the control box and run the wires to the batteries. Got tired of working on it today...LOL
Batteries, with a cut off switch, will go in the green box.

Bigdaddy -
We've been in our new " Villa " 5 mo already.

We had about 2/3rd of our stuff stolen out of a storage unit back in OK.
While at first being angered about the theft, my wife figured out she had to not only order replacement items; but was also duty-bound to secure new decor and such for the new Villa. We have seen so much delivery truck traffic.... I spend much of my time waving-off other delivery truck drivers that think WERE'RE the " distribution center " !!

I am now working on sealing the concrete before it becomes too cool outside to do it.

Wife also chose a landscape arteest', who will be giving us a list of trees plants suitable for our use in zone 6A. Before she drove off, the lady used a can of white spray paint to outline the new flower beds; as a guide for my use. I did get all of the nice new grass scalped off one corner out front; and put a dandy blister in the middle of my right palm....
despite my use of substantial gloves. I estimate I am 1/5th done with the scalping / sod removal portion of the project.

I have temporarily held off on putting together my new reloading " room ", in the garage " bump out ". Need to get our place all ready for the holidays, as we will once again be the social center for our family; now that we are back " in the area ".

New home should have a reloading room in the house.

Been harassing the contractor to get some things done around the house that the wife won't let me do (I married up ;)), still have some leftover hardwood flooring out in the garage that needs to be stored out of the way (attic) and some other work that requires the use of a ladder. She doesn't trust me with sharp things when on a ladder, well, she doesn't trust me on a ladder period. LOL

why not save the weight of the batteries and pull power from the tow vehicle?

I recently bought a Prusa Mk4 3D printer kit to replace my older Mk3, which I gave to my son.
Building it yourself really gives an appreciation for how it works, and gives confidence that if I had to do repairs, I could.,but the old one never needed a repair.

box arrives.

Why buy a new one, when the old one still worked OK, that's easy, the new one has steppers with twice the number of steps, a new screen to control it and a bunch of other features. It's the newer better model, so I had to have it.
It works great, and my son is happy with my old printer, and is making good use of it.
