What neck bushing are you using 6br?

Just wondering what neck tension you guys are using? I have .267 and a .268 bushings. I am thinking about adding .266 and .265 to the mix. Any thoughts?

Depends on your wall thickness and how much tension you want. I turn my necks to .009" and use a .260" bushing for a .264" chamber. It's aways nice to have several bushings.

My rifle has a .272 neck. With my .267 bushing my brass is coming out at .2665. Loaded is .268
Kriss,,,,as you can see your sized neck is smaller than the stamped size on the bushing,,,it prolly is a Redding bushing,,,they work great but are usuall smaller than marked,,,the main thing is that they are giving you .0015 grip on the bullet ,,,that should be abut right,,,,I like the Wilson brand bushings because they are "usually" exact and are tapered so they can be inverted to change the sizing by .0005 if needed,,,,Roger

Your right it is a Redding bushing. I know when I'm shooting my reloads with .015 jam I can not eject the round. Would another .0005" of tension help this?

if you are "pulling" bullets you should use more tension,,,,get a "Wilson" brand .265"(NOT Redding because it is a crap shoot on what you will get ),,,,,that should make loaded neck ~.266" and if still not enuff flip it over (numbers down) and that will tighten it up another half a thou,,,,,

Thank you Sir!

I stand corrected on my chamber. I loaded up 5 rounds today just to check my chamber and have something to send out for a sizing die. My brass is measuring .2705". This was the 4th firing of this brass.

maybe find a tune that does not require .015th jam, but more tension or grip will help from pulling bullets out in extraction situations.
