APB, have you seen a Podpad before?
When I used a Podpad in the QLD Queens last August, I still remember that the top of the pad was still
flat with no any "sink", "groove", or "tracks", even after I have finished the shooting string. --- In other words, the bipod/feet + rifle combo did NOT create any tracks on the Podpad.
The top material just had a "shiny mark" on each side due to the friction with the bottom of the feet, no more.
IF (just "If") I'm "allowed" to make grooves on the Podpad, I should have made it already, because I am sure it will "help" to track even better.
That was why we put a layer of soft neophrene under the top layer, i.e. to prevent sink/grooves/tracks on the top.
Only for comparison: On a soft ground, or on grass firing point, I might/would choose to not use a Podpad or any mat myself.... you know the reason

.... even / although not even once my scope "went to" someone else's target after recoil using the bipod + pad combo.
Trust me that LOGIC and COMMON SENSE are (much-much) stronger than the "police men", or the "naysayers".
I learn this from experience.
