What makes a good F open stock is a good F open shooter. Call Will at Cerus. Pay your money and wait on what is perhaps the straightest, strongest and best looking stock on the market. I have a Mcmillan and Cerus. There is no comparison, the Cerus is much better.

What makes a great F-Open stock?

There are a lot of things.

It tracks straight and lets you watch the trace to the target.
It repeats shot after shot and forgives rifle handling variations.
It allows you to balance the rifle with a truck axle barrel.
It doesn't change when it rains.
It allows you to tune the rifle.
It has enough adjustability to allow you to adjust it to your shooting style.
It's durable.
It doesn't contribute to the shooter's fatigue.
It allows the barrel to cool.
