Everything changes...nothing is precise. Each shot has uncontrollable variables. Bullet BC varies, as does, muzzle velocity, temperature of barrel, fouling in barrel, wind, the shooter, etc...and the bullet is not attached to the earth like the shooter and the target, usually are...the earth moves under the bullet, sometimes in opposite directions of flight, or left or right, or diagonally and inconsistently at that as the shooter changes position...space time movement variables, plus the wind vector all change location of bullet impact, just a few small examples of complicated variables with each shot.
So the idea is to get the variables that you have some control over as small as possible. A 22 LR would be perfect for the full range of its travel 1000yds or a mile all bullets through exactly the same hole. If one could control all the variables to be exactly the same for the duration of the shooting event, high BC or low BC wouldn't matter as long as every variable is exactly the same each shot, so that no variables exist, even in the shooter, earth, outer space influences, or solar storms...Impossible... so do your best with what you have...according to Einstein everything is energy, so you can harness the energy to get the reality you precieve.
