What is with all the anger on this forum lately?

A reasonable sentiment but not a good choice to quote. ;) [br]
How about this one? [br]

I love argument, I love debate. I don't expect anyone just to sit there and agree with me, that's not their job.

GEEEE....it's not like this topic hasn't been posted before, you need to learn to use the search ;D

Just kidding, everyone has good points but I think it's the lack of people having a sense of humor and having to be PC all the time.

I have been on this forum for quite awhile. It seems lately ,like in the past 6 months that some members read a thread and start arguing immediately. What is going on?

It seems to be the case on several boards. I know several good members who left the boards because of this. Several people have signed up and their first post they start bashing someone or a company.

Personally, I believe their post should be deleted and they should be warned the Forum's are not here for people to complain.

I agree, when I have a post that starts to get stupid I just delete it. Did it this am. :D

+1. I've completely deleted my posts from a handful of threads that turn into arguments just so they don't pop up in my reply tab.

I agree debate should be conducted using facts. But it seems that where opinions on which fact is "best" is where the trouble starts.

But to be rude to new members who unknowingly ask for help on commonly addressed subjects is uncalled for IMHO..... Oh! I mean that's a fact! :)

Heard something a long time ago that could be modified to fit this, and no I always don't follow it! Type "Jesus said" in the beginning of the post before you hit send. If it fits hit send, if not hit delete. JMHO

Go to a dinner party that has equal numbers of Republicans and Democrats feed them alcohol and just before you are about to leave bring up Politics.
Then slip out and run for the car! LOL!

Good post there jonbearman!!! I feel perty good about being a member because just about all here are good guys who have been a big help to me and others.

The anger isnt going to end until two things happen

1. A face off happens between the 6 dasher and the 6.5x47L over which is the better cartridge
2. Muzzle brakes are allowed in f class and 1000ydBR shooters learn to handle recoil.

;D ;D ;D

Jokes aside,

There does seem to be alot of "heated" discussion between f class and long range benchrest shooters. Whether both groups dont understand much about each other, or that both think they are superior and try to force that belief on each other I dont know. Its funny to watch but annoying at the same time. No point getting involved as you just get brought down to the same level as the other arguing idiots.

I would like to see new sections in the forums for 1000ydBR and F class or any other disciplines for that matter for discussions to happen in their own little space without threads turning into a debate on which is better.

For the record I participate in both and enjoy them. Arguing about it is doing neither any good and just gives the anti gun crowd satisfaction they dont deserve.

Just my opinion.

Well, the economy and other factors sure do have an effect. Too, near as I can tell, the pursuit of extreme accuracy tends to appeal to grumpy, curmudgeonly, old dudes, so it doesn't surprise me that many of them post on here.

I remember my first 10 posts. I got "jumped" on many of them. I didn't take offense, I feel pity for someone who is that unhappy, and wish for them to choose to be happy in this life, and wish for them a fortunate rebirth.

The ones I liked the most were, "use search function" or something similar. Not only did they take time to READ the question, they took time to post an ANSWER to the "idiotic" question, with a non helpful response, which (as they often complain about) takes up even MORE bandwidth. LOL. If this is you, just move on, don't read the thread. LOL. Simple... each is responsible for, and in control of his own mind, and his choices. ;) Choose happiness!

If not for Nodak7mm and some others who made themselves available via PM or phone to answer my "stupid" questions, I would still be stymied.

In my working days in manufacturing, whenever one of the guys would come in all cranky and worked up & started bitching about something, after he was finished, our standard comeback was "Ain't gettin' any either, right?"

I agree with all that has been said so far.

Now with that said, When I first joined this site along with a few others I was one who got bashed or picked on. I have not only learned a lot about guns and reloading from this site, I too have learned to reread my post and correct things that I would not have done in the first place. ( at that time I was just a pecker head from the woods that just owned a few guns ) now I am an older ( I guess wiser pecker head ) I just roll with things much better. I know at times that my post or replies still don't make much since or even hard to understand ( because I am still that pecker head how lives in the woods with a few two many guns ) BUT I try to my best ability to answer or ask what I think is a reasonable answer or question.

Now with that said I agree with the OP to reposting something that has come up before, because things like this is what makes this site such the site it is today. This site alone has been such a large benefit to not only me but many others all so. I would hate to see such a great site fall short on the behalf of such great dumbness that some must think it to be OK to do. Lets all band together and be the American force that we all dream of and not hate or bash one another to the point that we all cannot get along. Our passion for the sport of shooting and reloading is something that hangs on a thread at the last knot tied at its end already. So I ask for a tighter brother hood so that we all can play fare and be nice to one another. I joined this site and long range shooting for two reasons, one its a passion that I love and two its a place to learn from and get better at what I love to do ( shoot long range )

So what have you fellow friends do we fight for our passion to shoot with one another or do we fight to hate what one says or does to the point that we give up on our passion. Its our goal to keep this sport up and running not our goal to teach new comers to not want to be a part of it or try it.

Personally, I'm getting sick of this petty bickering. If I hurt you because you do or think some stupid stuff get over it. And then admit I was right and you were wrong. Got it?
