Personally, I'm getting sick of this petty bickering. If I hurt you because you do or think some stupid stuff get over it. And then admit I was right and you were wrong. Got it?

AHHH By your own admission: YOU only THINK YOU KNOW!!!! So how would I know you're right?? LOL!!!

You know, its been along winter and I have my own share of problems with one of my kids that is so bad that we arent even talking.I wont go into nitty gritty details but with his lifestyle he is headed for big troubles and it makes me sick in my stomach to know what is going on in his life.I raised him right but he made bad choice's landing him in troubles with the law.You have no idea how much anguish I go through waiting for the call he overdosed or drank himself to death. Why am I saying all of this, its simple,I dont bring it to the forum.I try to keep my mind clear to be good to everyone I can.Being nice is my release from my anguish, shooting is my release and reloading keeps me straight.

I think it's: 1) the extra month of winter this year; 2) on-going scarcity of components; 3) general cussedness over the state of our economy & political prospects for the mid-terms in Nov.

Any one or a combination of all three in whatever proportion, your choice.

Best advice I can muster is even if it's personal, let it go 'cause it's not worth the stress on your heart.

We all can do better.

SP hit he nail on the head. The only other missing negative quality is just plain old EGO wherein a few believe they are the ultimate "Expert," second to none. That is unfortunate and totally uncalled for and misses the entire point of sharing information and learning from one another. I share in jonbearman's comments and also am not pointing the finger. I can absolutely guarantee I'm NO EXPERT and appreciate the thoughts and advice from those who not only give the information freely, but also show their prowess and expertise on the targets they shoot.

Regards to all,
Alex

Jon, I hope it all works out in a positive manner for you and your family. You certainly have some challenges ahead. But, do know that many are supporting you.

Don

Jon, thanks for posting this topic. The reason I continue to come to this site is because of the honorable men on here. And the folks like you and others, who DON'T feel the need, to put down, or fuss at others, in order to fulfill their insecurities as human beings. Its a good thing the idiots burn out quickly.

You have always been there to answer my questions and been kind & honorable. Thank you for that.
You and many others here, will always have a friend in me.

Always the student,
Scotsman

You fellas on here are treating me like family and words can never sum up how much you help me through the day.I have made some incredible friendships on here and its the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jon, I can only hope your situation works out as well as mine did. My oldest about 2 years ago decided to change his life, he finally married a girl at age 32, and re-enrolled in LSU. He is studying to be an engineer and is currently holding a 3.55 gpa.

Just a few years ago I was in your shoes and I almost gave up.

Just stick with him the best you can.

Dennis

Goodluck Jon I hope it all works out for you and your son. It must be hard to watch someone you love make a lot of bad choices. Sometimes though you have to let them make the bad choices so they can see the error of their ways and do whats needed to straiten themselves out. In the end he will be happy that you stuck by him. Goodluck.

When I was younger I had a short fuse.

Today, 7 decades later, the fuse never got any longer.

Some people just have to be "right." They figure if they can bully their way through, they win. A shooting forum should be about helping folks, not putting them down. We weren't born High Masters with all the answers......although some act like they were. :)

Jon, don't give up. Just give room. My son and I didn't speak hardly at all for around 17 years and one day it worked out to give him his high school graduation picture that had hung on my wall for 22 years. On his 40th birthday I took it to him at work and said "This has hung on my wall for 22 years, I think its time it hung on yours for a while" He is a big man and came around his desk, with tears in his eyes, and hugged me. We now see them all the time. We have gotten to know my three granddaughters, 18,14 and 10.

Don't give up, give room. Pray for help, for both of you, and guidance.

I will never give up. I hope that there will be a change in how we treat each other on our site and a better future.

In my opinion, I am experiencing anger everywhere. My belief is it is due to the disintegration our country and our way of life. Our freedoms, rights and privileges are being diminished, and we are being subliminally pressured into accepting these changes.

Our politicians, who are supposed to prevent these things from occurring, have no interest in stopping or solving these issues. Our media has and continues to undermine our culture by dismissing, minimizing and belittling the characteristics and traits, such as self reliance, that made this country strong. While at the same time, extolling personal irresponsibilities, deficiencies and flaws as if they are virtues. If you speak out or criticize these issues, you are labeled as hateful, intolerant, racist and a danger to the state. Our educational institutions are in sync with the media and the state, and they are no longer producing graduates who thing, problem solve, instead they turn out weak minded followers.

I could go on but I have made my main points.

Its interesting that you think that politicians are whats wrong with peoples anger.Today on the Hannity radio show he had Darryl Hannah on and she actually admitted that almost all poilticians are on the take from 1 percenters and is ruining the country and causing normal people a lot of strees leading to fights and arguments over the fact that the avarsge citizens vote means nothing.I know what you mean as I myself am stressed over what is going on but I try to keep it off the web as much as I can.I have failed to keep my cool sometimes but for now I will continue to treat my gun brothers with respect.
