What is this tool from gunsmith shop?

It's a drill torque multiplying device, with 7 times the torque while reducing the speed so that you can drive those larger screws "home", with out having them stop before being seated and stripping out the ( exsmple. philips) screw head and damaging the (example philips) driver.
 
Craftsman Speed Reducer is correct. I had one that had belonged to my dad and it even had the original paperwork in the box. His wasn't the kit with all the extras, just the speed reducer alone in the small metal box. Without looking in our storage unit I couldn't tell you if I still have it or not.

The original was made by the famous old machine works company, "Burgness". That item was the Burgness, Stratness. They weren't a very good marketing company, and eventually sold the patent to ACME, who marketed it as the ACME Stratness. Sometime later on Craftsman changed it up a little and sold their own version leaving the Stratness name off of it. jd
