What is there to do for a non shooter in Raton NM during F Nationals?

A few wives of shooters going the F Class Nationals this fall in Raton NM have asked me, for non shooters, what is there to do in Raton NM? I do not have an answer, last time I was there was 2013 for the F Internationals and Nationals and I only went to town to have dinner. And at that time it seemed there was not very much in town at all. I know there are some scenic drives around the area, but is there anything else in the Raton area?

Bring her a gun and let her shoot. That's what I do. Now I don't hear anymore complaining about how much time I spend shooting

I go down there every month from February thru Sept. to shoot the Sporting Rifle match on the north
side of the whittington center. Nothing in town! Trinadad is nice.

My wife, is bringing her shotgun in the hope there might be someone to shoot trap, skeet, 5-stand, or sporting clays with. The Whittington Center has lots to do for an avid shotgun-shooting wife....

head north on 25 and go to the walmart just a ways up the road.
can be expensive but keeps some women busy for a while.

The girl's can take a day trip to Santa Fe (state capitol) or Taos (tourist and artist colony). Go up to Angel Fire, nice Vietnam Vet's Memorial up their. Go east on US 64 and hike around the top of Capailon extinct volcano sonic views. Yes there is an upper parking lot at the top, but you have to hike to the summit. They can also check out Trinidad, Co. plenty of old buildings and shop's.

Forgot about the volcano, that actually wasn't too bad of a visit. Im not in the best shape, but the hike around the top rim was real easy even though it looks intimidating on a 85 degree day.
The next range over at the center, had a small silhouette target range, that we burned up a few boxes of rim fire, and challenged her skills with the 9mm also.
