What is the market for M1A's

Who modified/ built the rifle would have a bearing on the value. Is it a factory assembled rifle? The old guard of M1A armorers put a lot of custom touches into their builds. Lugged guns ( single/ double lugs) , floated bbls, cast vs forged receivers, unitized gas cylinders w/ matched pistons, glass bedded etc. Stocks are heavy/ oversized wood, laminated, or McMillian fiberglass. If assembled by Ronnie Morris, Clint Fowler, or McCoy gives it some provenance. The above will determine price.

Bbl was installed by AMU, @ Camp Perry, a number of years ago
and fired during the matches there. No double lugs, but bedded.

I would also think that if the rifle is legal for M1A matches, that would be a factor as well. If the rifle is in a chassis of some kind that is a specialized application.
