I will say this one last time and then you are on your own.
You NEED a 9 twist minimum to shoot the 95 grain Berger VLD. An 8 twist is better still, but a 10 is a waste of time. You want an SG of 1.4, you will not get that with a 10 twist. Berger states on their site that you need a minimum of a 9 twist.
Why when you are buying a new barrel are you intentionally shorting yourself?
I tried the 95gr VLD from a MUCH faster round, and even at much greater speed which in turn means a higher SG, it was not stable. I even tried slowing it down, still no luck. Lighter bullets, such as a 70gr Berger, shoot awesome. But anything over an inch long does not shoot for beans compared to shorter bullets.
Just because a bullet is decent at 100 yards means nothing. Your groups will suck the farther out you go due to poor stability. I know as I have tried exactly what you are thinking of.
I also doubt you will get 3300fps with a 95gr VLD from a .243. That is what my 6-284 will do, and my barrel is only 4 inches shorter. You will be closer to 3100.
