I ship ammo fairly often. I use a 3rd party called Pirate Ship. Real easy to sign up on. Usually beats UPS rates, and UPS is the carrier. offers insurance on the package as well. I use the term “ small cartridges” just like the ammo distribution companies do.

I just go to my small town pak-n-ship and the gals box my stuff up, guns or ammo included, bubble wrap tape it etc and they put on the appropriate sticker(s) and ship with the appropriate carrier. I might pay 5 bucks more than DIY for them to do ti all but it's worth it for me.

I tell ya , south Florida sucks when it comes to shipping anything gun related . Too many no’s to make it worth while . I’m thinking about selling all of my collection ( aprx 600-800 military rifles ) no way would I try selling piece meal . Its either going to a place like Sarco , Classic or Royal tiger imports . Bulk , one shot cleanout even though I know I’ll be making less money . Just to many no’s .

I went to the MAIN station today and when I asked about shipping 22 ammo both reps pointed to a sign that stated AMMO CAN NOT BE LEGALLY SHIPPED. ???????????????

If you think it's worth spending the time, make some calls to UPS management, get the improper sign taken down, and have the reps in that facility properly instructed~!! If you know that you are right, NEVER let lower ranked employees stop you. STAND UP and PUSH BACK~!!!
