I think getting the freebore right is key in shooting 105s well from the 243,,,,I had Tim chamber a min SAAMI spec 243 ,,then run his throater in deep enough that the 105 VLD-H orange box bullets could be seated above the neck shoulder junction and have .020 jump,,with the 105 VLDH seated like this the COAL was 2.835
I tried RL26, H1000, Retumbo and RL25 trying to find a slower powder that would shoot like I wanted,,I wound up at 42.2 grs H4350 and CCI 200 primers at 3225 fps and extremely stable load with no crazy spikes or pressure in heat or with a hot barrel,,
it was a real performer at 1,000 yards on the 10 inch gong and I could stay on my 5.5x8 inch head shot gong with this load better than any rifle I have owned,,
I hit 3400 fps with RL26 but I could not keep it in tune and if I got the bbl hot it would ruin primer pockets in one shot,,and the next node down with it was at 3200 so I just shot 4350 ..
