What heavy 6mm bullet for coyotes?

Xdeano above gets to do this for a living. So you might want to ping him on what is working and what is not. I bet he shoots more critters in one year than most in a life time. Unfortunently the pay for this type of job isnt all that great. : (

My current beat the wind ( 20MPH) set up is 95gr Berger VLD on a 243 AI speeding along at that 3400+ fps area. Type that into your balistic calculator! Its damn hard on fur however like Kochie has pointed out. I have hit yotes in the spine and alost ripped them in half. its pretty ugly. Down the chest when there sitting there looking at you held up on the ridge line.... Internal Caos. No pelt damage.

Im excited to see what the new 87gr Berger VLD will do however. The Krieger barrel on my rifle is a 1:10 or I would be shootin 105class bullets as well.

Who ever labeled Chicago the windy city has never been to North,South Dakota or East Montana..... Or Wyoming... Dont miss that crap at all.

OP states 20 MPH winds. I assume longer range targets and to help make up for bad wind calls. JMHO
Bingo, and it can also double as a deer rifle. I hunt very open country. 20 mph is average, Sunday was 30mph.
