What fills the voids if any?

I don't see any handgun cartridge rifles. I have a pair of .357 Magnum chambered Martini Cadets, one stock (just rebored and chambered) and the other highly modified. They handle like a broom stick, are accurate and sure are fun to shoot..

I think I'd include the .270/ 130 NPT also. I've always said if you own a .260 or a .280/284, you don't really have a need for the .270. I'm not really sure that is true. Every single white tail I've killed with my .270 has been hit one time and dropped where it stood. I cannot make that statement about the other two cartridges. Just seems like that .277/130 works flawlessly. Always find the bullet in the hide in the opposite side of the animal. The way I'd like all my kills to be.

I left all lever guns out. Tried to steer it towards bolt rifles

how can you not have a 223 on the list?

Easily. Channel your inner curmudgeon. Just go against the flow of such modern contraptions. my vote is 22PPC...a mid/high performance light bullet target/varmint rig without being pedestrian.

After that i think you need a good all american 35 caliber...Whelan, Herrett, 35 Brown Whelan to be obscure, and maybe a 33 caliber, just to be different.
