What ever happened to the 260 improved 30?

There is a good node @ 2900 fps with the 140 class bullets that works really good in my 260AI s

When I screw on a 260AI barrel onto my other action, I'll explore that. Its a 30" bartlein and I plan to shoot 140s in that gun.

If you a determined to get that one, better find dies first. Or just make it easy, dies and all for the 260 AI are available and it will be right on the heels of the other in FPS and all.

2960 in my 26" with 140s, Bill using a surplus Ball powder. The cartridge reminds me of a BR in how easy it is to tune. I need to order another reamer.

About 150fps. Creedmoor is a good cartridge and shoots well from a magazine, but the 260AI has just that much more available horsepower. Also case life is excellent with minimal trimming.

The 6.5 SLR.
Are all very close.
I've run the SLR with 140g LRBTs at 2950 for seasons of competition and never had cases issues.
The SLR will have a touch longer neck.
Think a 6.5 x 47 neck and shoulder on a 260 case.....
Only down side to the SLR is part of the shoulder will end up in your neck causing a donut .
I always turned mine so it was never a issue.
With the SLR you fit or size the case to your chamber.
No fire forming required..
