what was the temp? I might just take a trip to the range tomorrow....car won't make it up the hill with the snow, but it's only like 1/2 mile to the rifle range. post pics if I go

The temp was as good as it could have been considering. mid to high twenties. just enough to keep the falling snow from melting on contact. my drive was the worst part. Normally an hr 15... was probably double that.

yuck. that's a sucky drive. Well, you inspired me, I'll be hitting the range tomorrow....we have a shed with garage doors at each shooting station at the club range...so pretty cushy, but it's supposed to be hovering around zero, so I got to work up the motivation

I was waiting for that ?..... that is a savage fcp-k in 223 with a nightforce scope and XLR INDUSTRIES TACTICAL MODEL stock. uses accuracy international magazines. this gun shoots 1.5" at 300 so it needed a beautiful stock. it is. they basically build it to your gun. they modified my bolt to pick up the rounds from the drop magazine. also if you look, its one of the few manufactures that builds a stock for the savage with the goofy bolt release in front of the trigger. now its a small lever on the trigger guard. which I like. it was like $980.00 set up the way I wanted and delivered. was a 6 month wait though. definitely worth it.

Well it was -40 with the wind chill yesterday so we went coyote calling. Called in 4 and shot 3. Makes 148 now for the winter.
