What Does This Barrel Fit?

22 LR, 22" long, .750 at the muzzle, held in the receiver with two angled screws, uses iron sights and tubular magazine, no markings, rear sight is dovetailed, front sight uses two screws, two dovetails on the bottom for the magazine tube. I thought it was a CZ 455 barrel but the CZ has a flat on the underside and the screw notches are made differently. I'm stumped, any thoughts?

Doesn’t look like a 10/22 barrel to me.
Imagine what it would look like if you turned it half over, that may help.
But like I said someone modified it by plunging a cutting tool into the side of it and enlarging the extractor groove so it has some extra material removed. The barrel has been destroyed for whatever reason.

I stand by my post. Look at the second picture. The groove is for a sight not the barrel retainer.

OP said in description that the barrel has two dovetails on the bottom side, for a tube magazine. Also says it is drilled and tapped for a front sight.

Well, I don't know what action the barrel goes to, but it is NOT a 10/22 barrel. Gene is correct about that. If it was, then the dovetail would have the sharp beveled end towards the breech end and the flat end towards the muzzle. It's directly opposite to that configuration, as shown in the picture in post #8, which does look like, and probably is, a 10/22 barrel.

The baseless 'opinions' that the barrel is 'destroyed' or now a 'tomato stake' are just that, baseless. I will guess that the barrel is a custom based on the op stating there are no markings on it. He says the rear sight is dovetailed and the other 2 dovetails are for a tube magazine. I wonder how he/she knows the other dovetails are for a tube, if he/she doesn't know what firearm the barrel is for? Why did someone buy or otherwise acquire a barrel for a gun that they have no idea what it fits? Perhaps an estate item from a relative or friend?
