What do you use to carry a rifle with a 4" wide stock to your local range ?

For my rifles with 3" wide stocks i use Plano Air-Glide 48" Rifle Case - nice and simple.

I also have a rifle with a 4" Wheeler LRB Stock and I am forced to use a pelican 1750 to carry the rifle to my local range (the rifle is so long that I need to remove the muzzle break). Just curious what others use to carry their 4" wide stocks to their local ranges ?

the same Plano air glide. you just need to cut out some of the front reinforcing tabs that are by the 4" front end of the rifle. after you trim those out, good to go you are

I have a soft case from champions choice.
It's the biathlon, long.
It's blue and white strong material, has shoulder straps like a back pack(handle also) very padded. Different, but super light & nice.

I didn't realize that a 4" stock would fit into an air glide ... must not have much padding around the front end ?

there will be no padding on the sides of the fore end of the rifle, really snug fit. but it is a fit!!

I just checked and my stock is long .. so long that i am not totally convinced that it will fit (the front of the stock goes quite far down towards the case end). Is your stock an LRB as well ?

I had the same issue.
creedmore sports has a new soft case that is 55 or 60 in long and thick
my rifle fits with the butt all the way in the back of the case.

I use those to carry my 6" wide lg from my truck to the cleaning bench.

EDIT: Wrong one, @ridgeway and I use the same one, fixed!

I just put it in the extended cab of the truck. Or if its in the bed for car pooling, pack the car properly. The bald eagle bags have nice and thick padding

Replace one side of the egg carton foam with egg carton foam that's 1/2 as thick. You are able to close onto a 4" LRB with foam on both sides.
