It was sold as Gold Medallion before Remington bought it. Like liquid JB paste.Whats in the rem 40x? Is that the stuff they used to sell with the rocks suspended in oil?
The stuff i remember had real grit in it you could feel and hear in the barrel. I got it in like a twin pack one time because i was needing the rem oil that was in there. This was in the early 80’sIt was sold as Gold Medallion before Remington bought it. Like liquid JB paste.
Just assuming one of the only two solvents that I've used must be keeping the carbon ring from forming. I haven't even used Iosso on this .22, just boretech and Rem 40X. Maybe it's the Rem 40X.Why would you assume a copper solvent is great for carbon? I would be careful with the IOSSO, not good for regular use, last thing you want is to polish the inside.
Nothing beats C4 for carbon ring…..zero scrubbing/polishing.
Its all about the focus.Mine is superb. Have you adjusted the focus and tried different mirrors?
