What do you guys think: Savage F-Class .308 for $599 - NIB

A local sporting goods store has just marked down a new Savage F-Class .308 to $599. I have a Remington Sendero in a .308 that will shoot under 4" at 700 yards.

Do you think I should buy the Savage? I don't shoot in competitions although I would like to sometime. There are just a few of us at work that like to bring in targets to show off. When we are at the range (1100 yrds - but we don't shoot that far yet) we pull for each other. We always hope that one of us will get that once in a lifetime factory "hummer." We all reload and haven't had any problems getting factory rifles to shoot under 1 MOA. I'm not bragging, I'm sure most of you could do much, much better. We just started reloading about three years ago.

I'm looking forward to your advice/comments.

I have two 12F Savages, one in factory 6BR, the other with a McGowen .308. They both shoot very well, typically under ½ MOA out to 600. $599 is a steal.

That price is way lower than Dealer Cost.....and better than half of the Suggested Retail....it would of left the shop with me.

That is if it's a real Model 12 F/TR like this: http://www.savagearms.com/firearms/model/12%20FTR
