what do u guys think?

Got a 30 inch 7 mm rem mag for a target action. Want to get it rechambered. Some length cut off of it and a muzzle brake installed. Was thinking maybe something slightly bigger. What would u guys go with and who would u get to do it? Its a 9.5 twist. Hope to shoot 162 a maxes possibly

I would choose the 7mm Dakota or the 7mm LRM. but I already have brass and dies for both.
The Dakota will slightly out run the LRM.

I would second the Dakota, I love the Dakota rounds. You will need to set the barrel back but you should have plenty of material to do so. Also what brake do you want?

The others might be a better round but I have never used them. The STW is very long. It works great as a hunting repeater but to get the best accuracy in my rifle I need to use it as a single shot.

Good choice. Just make sure you can find brass.

Good round!A buddy of mine shoots a 7 rsaum on the US f class team.I wanted to go that route because he has all the reamers and such.He and a couple other folks expressed concerns about the cartridge being phased out that bothered me in case I fell in love with it so I chose a 7 wsm.
